Post by: hippiemick on Oct 28, 2007, 07:51 PM
Nice to see our own little board here. I live on the coast in Milford and do most of my hard water fishing in the North West coner of Ct. Lets plan an on ice get together. How about it ?

Hey Mick. You can count on it. I'm a little lost without CTF. Could always count on getting on early ice without having to scout it out. I may just have to anti up.

Some how I don't think I'm going to get up to date ice reports on yakdawgs.com! I do miss the banter. Last time I checked they were down to a little over 1800 members.

Nice to see some friends here. :)

I plan on doing my best to share info here as well as the other site.Lot more in depth info to be found here on ice fishing than the other site.

Hoping for a cold snap soon ,so far only 3 frosts this season .

Water temps are still in the upper 50's if not low 60's.

Have my fingers crossed that it will get cold ,really cold soon ,hoping to be on the ice first week of December but it is not looking promising.

Thanks Mike. See you on the water. Did real well in winsted last year as they raised the water level with the dam. A little tricky getting on and off, but it paid off in spades.

OOOOOOOOO man, got my coffee this morning and started off the day with one of my favorite smells.  A GAS AUGER warming up.  Had to make sure she still ran allright.  Nothing like the smell and sound of an auger at 8 in the morning.

Hung up the kayak last weekend. I've got a week off coming up. I've got to pull the stuff out of the rafters in the barn.  Last year tried that armisol  oil, was pretty happy with it. I'll have to mix up a fresh batch.
