This only concerns a very small populous on this forum, but we're trying to get the word out via every conceivable venue. The towns of Rothesay and Quispamsis are THIIIIS close to barricading all access to water to prevent ice fishers from setting up shacks on the Kennebecasis due to last winter's fiasco (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/ice-fishing-shacks-debris-on-kennebecasis-river-revealed-by-drone-video-1.3055455). For this winter as a probation, they are assinging the task to DNR to make sure people have their name and phone number on their shack, jacking up their shack when needed (aka after EVERY snowstorm), and removing their shack at season's end. Failure to do so will result in 1) a $604 fine, and 2) all access barricaded for 2017, so basically no shacks whatsoever next winter. Bottom line: don't be dinks, guys: If you're going to put up a shack, don't frig it up for everybody elso, please.
