was told a few weeks back that the lincoln /cumberland strech of the river had pike in it
was wondering if any one has herd or cought any there in the past
found a nice little pond right off the river gonna take the kayaks out this week end to check if there is any depth to it

Yes there is. Been there for quite sometime, following the river north to it's headwaters will show you how they got in there ;D Flint quig :tipup:

I have heard of people catching them in open water there . If you go take a small sweedish pimple you might be into some nice fall fish. I know they are in the river . :tipup:

ha Ricky we met at the norton derby last year. I've wanted to float the blackstone for a long time sunday am. looks open for me if you want some company. pm me and let me know if it works for you.

the backwaters above the dam in blackstone has pike too.

i caught a small pike in the millville section and missed 1 that smashed my lure. they are in there. call me Rick i'll yak it with ya.

I heard they also lurk in certain MA sections of the river as well.

Yes they most definitely do..... As the usual river systems have the most feed and allow them to move as conditions permit. Always wondered about fishing the setbacks of that river. Seen pix of nice ones from there.

hoping for a good freeze up to try and fish some the little ponds right off it
and the best part of the area is 15 minutes from home

What do you know about the blackstone you live in foster? There ain't no pike in there and there ain't no river dace either.

Kidding around ricky/walk out my back door and  i'm on the river.Been pike there for longer than you can imagine.Not a recomended place to ice fish even in the coves due to the fact its real mucky and hazy waters. Does not freeze up very well.Been fishing my back yard for many years.Just dont like publisizing good bait spots.SORRY....   JOHN
