It's that time of year and work is a few folks have received citation on Boysen so the parks are actively checking now all over the state not just Keyhole (trust me they will check you!) WY state parks web sight and any of the power sport sales/service places and some sporting goods places. At Keyhole Paradise Foods in Pine haven will sell them, you do need a registration and/ or a VIN of an ATV.

https://wyomingstateparks.reserveamerica.com/pos.page

If you use the on line sight you can print the receipt and leave it on the dash at least in years past, not sure about the current enforcement.

It sounded like the state parks were going to have another web based seller this year, they were going away from reserve America but I habe not heard much about it, the second vehicle sticker was supposed to be available online but all I have found is going to the state park headquarters by boysen to be able to buy the stickers for the second stickers at the lower cost.

I called the state parks today. In Cheyenne you can get 2024 permits on Jan. 2 2024 at the state museum in person. She said if you have a 2023 permit you will get a one day grace period on Jan. 1 2024. Seems like they are making it harder and harder to buy the permits. Why not start selling them in Dec. so people can buy them early?  Call them just to make sure.  307 777 6323  thats the office in Cheyenne.

I called the State Park office at Boysen yesterday and was told they will not have the annual permits for sale until January 2.  If you have 2023 you are ok on the 1st but he could not say after that.

Quote from stat parks web sight,
2024 Annual Park Permits will be available for purchase January 2, 2024 as we transition to our new reservation system

They had on Cheyenne TV the head of state parks. He said they are giving a grace period to Feb. 2024 if you have a 2023 permit. You have to go on the new site after Jan. 1 2024 Reserve.Wyoming.gov to reserve camp sites and you can buy permits on there also. I got this info out of the newspaper.

I called the main office in Cheyenne today and the woman I spoke with said your 2023 annual state park pass will be good through the end of February. They are giving a grace period because they are switching over to another company. Sounds like there could be delays while switching over and people might not be able to get their annual pass in a timely manner so they are giving people this grace period. The rangers at the state parks better be aware of this grace period!

I pulled right up to everyone’s favorite guy a couple years ago when I went, and asked him that very question. I figured since he gave me a “yes that’s true.” It was my get out of jail free card for the trip 😃

Just got all my state park permits today, kind of funny for a convenience fee of 5 bucks on there with .80 shipping charges but cannot drive to the headquarters for that and buy them. Tried to get my ORV stickers and see they do not have thise removed from reserve America yet and onto this site. Nice to see the 2nd vehicle permits can be bought at the right price.
