Hi MeadowPikeMan,

I was out at the flats this past saturday. There is 12 1/2 inches of ice and they were biting pretty good.

Have not been there this winter yet but would sure like to some time. MeadowPikeman try chatting with the SERM office in Nipawin I have always found them to be helpful regarding fishing conditions and such.
You could also try the owner of Tobin Lake Resort in the village of Tobin lake. He should also tell you the fishing conditions and where they are biting and where it is not safe.
The Nipawin office # is (306) 752-6214. The Tobin Lake Resort is (306) 862-4976
Good luck when you go.
