Jack Traps
« on: Mar 21, 2018, 06:09 PM »
Thinking about upgrading my tip ups ( slowly over the summer) to something a little nicer.....does anyone use or have any opinions on Jack traps? My fishing buddy has heritage Lakers and I like those but I like all the options that Jack traps have. Any info or opinion is appreciated.
My Biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Tight lines and be safe.

I have both. The Jacks are heirloom quality. Its a matter of preference.
Its hard to beat heritage though IMO.

I have been buying one jack trap a year for my wife for valentines day! (Joke gift, but she loves fishing too!) for the past six years, and they are awesome.  No issues at all, they are pricey, but worth it in my opinion.  I guarantee they will not wear out anytime soon.
Take a kid fishing!!!

Your heritage tip-ups will last a lifetime  if you polyurethane them.

I have 2 Jack Traps, They are quality. I have heard that you can sometimes get a deal at the end of year from LLBeans.
