low temps accompanied by no WIND! I think that was a major contributor to a very poor season last year.

My wife's first big fish through the ice, to help keep here interested and to add to my signature.

safe ice without driving 2 hrs

Good ice and a safe season for all ice fisherman and woman.

A brutally cold and very long winter where at the height of the season we're drilling through 24 or more inches of snow. We had a winter here in Pennsylvania like that about five or six years ago so it can happen again.

cold and ice , moderate snowfall, a couple of deer and LESS TICKS!

good season of ice on the closest lake trout spots to Connecticut. Even better is a fully frozen lake champlain!

That's a big one. I'm fishing Moosehead a few times this season, and would love to pick off a 10 lber. I don't know if there's any 20's in the lake.
-
Walleye and a trout jigging. Haven't tried much walleye fishing or jigging for trout.

I think they have gotten some close up there. There is a bay on Ontario I didnt make it to last year that has them that big...

It won't be long after New Year's day before Moosehead is ready. There's skim around the edges this morning.

There's time for both Oneida and Moosehead. :)
Sacandaga can be slow but we've caught fish every time we went. Fish the old river channels and road beds, ignore the wide open main basin.
