Ok, getting pretty bored around here. All is ready with no ice. Driving my wife nuts. Xmas shopping 'bout done. And as always...thinking too much.

So what do you like to say...or do? Your favorite fishing quote, quip, limerick or even a superstition or good luck ritual.

When a buddy and I used to spear pike, we'd say..."Wanna go get Ol' Boot"? Meaning if one came through the hole with a head as wide as a Mickey Mouse boot...it was one of the better ones.

I have a couple buddies that are, shall we say, Beer Sluts. I can't drink it due to allergic to hops but they hammer em down. Eventually they drink all the beer and then comes the Infamous saying " We are out of Beer, We are out of Here"

My sayings are random.have a ton but while running the old drywall crew i said “open your eyes and realize”because it seemed like newbies had no attention span.for fishing its “you going to drill in my back pocket?” or “your keeping so small of fish that your calling in seagulls.” Plenty more saying too.i spew words out all day.

One to remember my long gone FIL because he always sang it when the fish were not biting. "Any day now". It's a song but I don't know it.

My favorite. When the bobber is down and you are waiting and waiting to set the hook I yell "GIVE EM THE GROCERIES". I'm not sure why...it just came out once and now is a standard.

When Kokanee fishing and someone misses the bit we say “you missed em” in a tone like it isn’t obvious to the guy that missed just to rub it in. Or just say @you gotta sharpen them hooks”

I and my fishing partner always say , when you miss a couple walleyes in a row ( your fired) when icing to rub it in (hey got another) , they’re on fire what’s the hold up,
We torture the 👿 out of each other
