Awesome fish!  I think I might have seen your double portable out this past weekend when fishing.  I was driving my Snobear around looking for a few nice ones.   Ok to add some more pics to this thread? Thought Id ask before adding.. ;D

Wow 33 and 34! That is unreal. I try to never have the big girls outside for longer than 10 seconds, or their eyes freeze and they are toast. So what depth and presentation did you find to work the best this past weekend?

Rereading my post... ok I exaggerated a bit  they were more like 32+ and 33+ "  but closer to the next number.  I agree about the risk of damage to eyes... might have been 20-30sec outside, pic holding out the door and on the ground and then thrown into the hole ASAP...there was no frost on eyes...

very nice fellas...saying I'm jealous would be an understatement. I'm still hoping to one day catch a 10+ pounder for the wall. Never been up to Lake Winnipeg but I hope to make it one day and catch a couple like the ones pictured so far. Tight lines   :icefish:

No, she had inhaled a bait and was gill hooked so she was released to the broiler.... ;D   BTW  very tasty!!  I do release almost all big eyes I catch but if they aren't going to survive...you should enjoy them. :)

Havent gotten up to fish for your beautiful Greenbacks, Bird-Watcher  but got out this afternoon with the Snobear and ND still has some nice fish just a bit different colored.  Here is my buddy's big one from tonight, the others were nice 2-4lb eaters.

Here the 2012-2013 trophies so far. All from one of the lakes main tributaries. What a fishery. All fish shown are over 26 inches multiple 30+ inchers.
