Slab raps

 Last year I fished with slab raps a fair amount and I ran into issues with the ring on top that I tie on too not being strong enough (straightened). also I bent numerous hooks straight..(lakers)
 Planning on switching out hooks and rings going into this season but I’m looking for recommendations of strong rings and hooks or advice on what others do to modify their slab raps..

Take those snap rings off and toss-m , I swap out lots of hooks on many lures

Replace them with Gamakatsu hooks.
