Has anyone ever gotten this?
My wife gave me a 3-month subscription for Christmas. I received the first box in December and I was pretty impressed. I recently received the January edition. I was very disappointed. In the box were a couple ice jigs, some loose hooks, a bobber, and a crankbait lure.

I definitely don't do any casting or trolling when I ice fish, so are there any suggestions on how to use this? ::) :o :-\

I sent a couple different ones to my nephews and they all seem to like it but they were the bass kits. Far as using a crankbait maybe bring a chainsaw and cut out a 100 foot section so you can cast. 🙂

I've got a subscription to "mystery tackle box" Switched it to ice fishing for the winter months, and have been happy with the products they send. As for your question on what to do with that lure, bring a chain saw, cut a long thin section of ice out and walk back and forth pulling it through the water! ;D

It’s very easy on how to use it! You go down to your local post office and mail it to me 😂😂DM me for my address 😂😂 On a serious note, all the lures I get and don’t or won’t ever use I put together little tackle boxes and give them to kids I see fishing when traveling with our bass boat or just driving around.

Any kind of kit is usually 90% garbage. That's how they make money.

That's pretty slick.

ROFLMFAO
I just packed the chainsaw on the sled, along with a medium action spin rod with 8lb test.
Thanks Guys, that was great! ;D

This is for sure the case. It is most likely overstock items that no one wants and this is how they can make money from it.

no simple bell sinker could do this :roflmao:

Trapper, its been scientifically proven that a chunk of lead/metal that costs more will out perform the same chunk of lead/metal that costs less. Science man, science.

This is a picture of the ice fishing "LUCKY TACKLE BOX" for the month of February. This is the last of the 3 month subscription that my wife got me for Christmas. Now, keep in mind that she got it right before Christmas with a significant discount. Around $12 per month.
I should have done this every month.
What are your thoughts..... Deal, or No Deal?

I got their ice box. They sent the same stuff every time. Its just moon jigs, snells they claim cost 4 bucks but are worse quality and less quantity than 88 cent eagle claws, and cheap bobbers. They throw maybe one useable lure in per box. It's all by the same off-brand company. I tried the mystery tackle box ice box. Theirs is much better, but I'm not sure if MTB is worth it either.

At that price you could buy a lot more tackle yourself.

hey your wife bought you something she though you could use and would make you happy .............. that alone makes it priceless .....

I feel like they just buy bulk discount tackle like the 60% off rack at dicks that’s full of odd ball stuff no one wants. Seems like a cool gift to get someone but if your like me you want to pick your own tackle.

My daughter got me one for Christmas a few years ago. It did have some pretty good tackle in it IF you are a fishermen that targets many species of fish. Myself, I used jigs almost all the time so there was very little that I used. Matter of fact, this winter I boxed up a lot of it and I will be dropping it off for the B-P Fishing club....h2l
