SNOW RECAP
« on: Jan 19, 2019, 08:48 AM »
Once again the weathermen were wrong. I heard 3 to 5 inches in Wheatfield we have about 2 only. It is still lightly falling but is suppose to be completed by about noon. Where and how much by you?

Sounds like a true weatherman. The only thing you left out was warmer weather, sunny, and a chance of rain... lmao.

My grass isn't totally covered yet in Whitley county.  Maybe I can return the 14 gallons of milk I stocked up on????

That sounds like they are spot on, no?  2 inches on the ground and still falling for another 2-3 hours = 3 inches

About 2" so far in Newton county. It's light and blowing so hopefully it will have little effect.

3 1/2 in the Wabash area (missy/Sally). Snowing hard so the 3 to 5 looks pretty accurate.

Well hey since the guys at NWS aren't being paid maybe they get a kickback from the grocery stores. Can't blame 'em.  :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Seriously in defense of the NWS this was a complex system and they erred on the safe side. If they under-forecast they catch hell. Actually they can't with either way judging by the posts here.
I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

2-3” northern noble county. Still snowing lightly so maybe we’ll catch another 1” or so. The pond is showing more wet spots as the snow continues to fall. Checked the ice early this morning and I was able to venture further out but only to find 1” of ice. It’s 3” closer to the bank and gets thinner as you go out. Wait and see what tomorrow looks like. >:(
