Rat Man, Take one of those fly boxes you use for Steelhead, and put your jigs in there instead.

That's where I'm at now, it works till you tow the portable across ruff ice. And the fact that I take about 150 or more jigs with me at all times.

I start the year with approx. 500 jigs in one fly box. It's the 8" by about 4" variety with wave foam on both sides. The jigs weigh it down, so I doubt it will float, but with less jigs it use to float.
The wave foam is a must if you want to ba able to put enough in the box, and still get them out. I use my hemos usualy to get them out.

I believe its Plano that makes an inexpensive fly box , but ive also used 35mm film containers with a piece of foam folded in half with the flies sandwiched in between and wrote on the top what flies it contained . Depends how many flies you carry with you ? Jigger
I spent all my money on fishin, huntin, and beer  , everything else was just a waste!
