I tried calling up there a couple of weeks before the storm and the number did not work. I did run up anyway and picked  up the last couple dozen. It did not sound like they were closing, but keep us in the loop.  Sure did like Earl before he retired.....

I am sure Bill has stocked up by me by now anyway....

I just went because he never appeared as if he was closing and I know he had weird hours but it seemed pretty shut down, no flag or signs, usually this time of year he sells stuff outside too. I'm afraid it is closed for good but he may be sick, he was slowing down. In the meantime as someone said the self serve baitshop on wachusett st is great, hopefully he can keep up with shiner demand this winter so I don't have to run to west boylston everytime

A couple of Xmas's ago wifey told me the aquarium in the living room had to go when we were making room for the tree.... Being an opportunist and really enjoying the fun and challenge of re-purposing all the crap I can I simply said I'll take care of it dear. In a little less than three hours I donated the fish left, the aquarium was in the basement, and had 3 dozen heavies swimming it..... Man she was pissed, but not as pissed off as she was when she found I was keeping frozen perch in the freezer down there. Oh well

But seriously, a difference maker. It's not a big deal anymore to grab a few fish first or last light or a couple of hours here and there. I also got into trapping this fall.

Talked to guy at the self serve on wachusett and he's a friend of earls at bite me. Earl was struggling and sold to a couple from Maine and a few weeks after they bought out they must have gone under. B&A and the self serve on wachusett are best bets now around here. Or you could trap...

That's the move I gotta do this year. As another posted mentioned B&A is probably the best bet for this area. If you only need worms some of the convenience stores around here (Honey Farms, etc) have started stocking crawlers and dillies.
