Drive by LA this morning predator hunting hoping some of this snow on there melts and refreezes but it’s getting there.   Hit a local pond and had a good sold 4 inches or so of ice.  Fished from 9 to 12 and hammer the slime rockets and some gills.  All on the secret plastic.

Two guys said they were on 2 1/2”. Not quite enough for me. Sled marks and a hole at McDaniels. Probably 4-5 fow someone went through just off the ramp. Stay safe and tight lines!

That was me out there.  Stay close to shore tomorrow if you go out. Everything that's gray is bad  the snow has water under it  most measured was 2.5.   The patch to the left of where you walk on is basically just slush.  As seen in picture from bigfathead  the frozen slush that looks white felt ok. I'd suggest waiting unless you are prepared to go for a swim

I'm ready KOV'IE. Time to test the float suits. Let's see who's the first to swim tomorrow.

nice to meet you out there today beck... I hopenot too many guys venture out there tomorow.. Like you said. Most likely there will be quite a few out there tomorow . and most likely somebody is going through... Be safe.. As for everybody else... If you have not been there the last few days to actually see with your own eyes. I suggest staying off.. Yesterday there was a lot of open water patches. Today they are capped over and look ok but are most definitely not safe at all... I have been there a couple days in a row checking things out...i will be very carefull on there tomorow... No offense to anybody. Please stay away from me... I want no extra weight near me because ice is very sketchy..... I will be wearing a life jacket tomorrow.. If i move around... So should you

saw you 2 out there plus a guy in front of the church :o bet the pastor was prayin for that guys salvation seeing he was on the way to meeting his maker?the thing i found was the lake is way down and the weeds are thick everywhere, with the wet snow cover you had to navigate the bad spots not easy to do.it was, as said by coonhunter the ice was 4" to 3" to 2" to 1" to OOOOOOOOOOONO.
GOD BLESS

Minimal ice at best, uneven, grey, halve frozen slush/snow,above freezing temps, wind, and sun. And you think its shrinking. No da. It's lucky someone didn't drown today, but the funny thing is someone will be out there again tomorrow. lol Have fun.

ok so I guess you were fishing there with me then or can you tell how thick the ice is from a pic or in your car huh I didn't say the whole lake was 3 1,2   4  I said I found a spot with 3 12 4 and stayed there so it must be easy to tell me what I experienced from behind computed keys huh

If your still alive after today enjoy it because the next ten days don't look so good there are a lot of 40 and even a couple 50 degree days and the nites are mostly above freezing!! I will wait till after Christmas when in some years the ice is much safer. But enjoy it if your out and be Safe!!!
