Title: Kids creel limit

Does anyone know if your fishing with a kid if your creel limit is separate??

Kautz88, I would think so. As long as they are the one who actually caught the fish. Also, they should keep those separate from your catch. I knew of a friend who landed five trout (winter season 3 fish) but gave them to three different people and he got fined. He obviously caught over the limit and even though he kept no fish they all counted towards his catch. He was fined for the two fish over the limit. He knew he was wrong and paid the fine. Lou

 In NY your child is allowed a limit providing you are just assisting him
  to ease your mind call your regional office
 They will inform you

in pa you can assist up to setting  the hook and reeling in the catch,their limit is separate in as much their creel or stringer or bucket is to be separate also.only on very few occaisions in 45 years or so did we get checked for compliance.
