How's the ice at Rock Lake?
« on: Jan 27, 2011, 09:30 PM »
I know at least one person on the board has fished there this season, just looking for a recent report. Thinking about heading up Friday night to try and catch a cat or walleye. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's a no go.  The ice got pretty slushy yesterday and has open water.

Yep.  Just verified it with the owner of the land around the lake (houses on the north and east end of lake) and said it has white caps on it.  Resort to your plan B.

Thanks, I owe you one. That's disappointing, not sure what I'll do now.

Good ice but snow covered with drifts.  Keep checking in as I'll report back Friday.  The wind and warm weather on the way may change things.
