Has any body else had any luck fishing with fresh water shrimp.
I was out today , west wind blowing with a low pressure system and fish were kinda tight lipped
I hooked grubs and minnows to jigs of a pile of colors shapes and weights trying to catch a pan fish.
nothing seemed to work I am on a spot that almost always gives up a meal.
anyway I tied a few scuds awhile back and by god they worked ,on sunny's not big ones but
just wanted to see if this is a one timer or am I on to something.
Ill be back out and try it whole heartedly .
looking for opinions, and experiences

I find they do OK, but I’m fly fisherman anyways. Some of my arsenal I was going to post them the other night. (https://i.postimg.cc/yg3QDkrt/20-FD961-D-1-FCC-44-DC-B6-D3-F462-EA9-CDC4-E.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/yg3QDkrt)

those are good looking flies nice job
never thought to use streamers , do you add weight to the line then?
I am messing with tungsten beads for the added weight , but I'm tying size 12 hooks.
I ordered some zonker eyes ,to see if that helps any.

Some I fish in tandem with a tungsten jig and some I will fish on their own since they have either a weighted head or body under the fly body. The non-weight flys or jig streamer I will use weight or use as a dropper fly.

The scuds are the only thing getting fish for me during the last few days, (perch and trout). It's been a real light & a little slow bite recently. I tied up some with just brown dubbing, ziplock scud back, and black thread ribs. Mostly they look like a ball of belly button lint, but they catch fish as a dropper. Very satisfying.
If the pic works here's a bow I caught with one yesterday...good luck everyone & stay safe!
