Blackstrap COs

Was fishing Blackstrap last Sat and had a visit from the local Conservation Officers.  Three of us had a total of six tip-ups in (legal limit) and they checked every one for barbless hooks.  All our lures were barbless of course, but I thought I'd let everyone know the boys are around.  Gotta watch how you display the "wobbly-pops" too.

Ya they visited our shack Dec 29th.  Checked for licences, barbless hooks, name on shack, and booze.
They are on snowmobile and they come fast!!!!!!!!

Woe,woe,woe - I am not in Sask now, but only 2 years removed, when did you go barbless???

Blackstrap has not only gone barbless but there are also catch and release limits on the fish, i don't fish there, but i think that it is 10 perch, 2 walleye, and 3 jack, and i know there is length restrictions but i am not sure if they are different from the normal provincial ones or not??? Maybe someone can fill in what i missed.

Those limits are correct.  Also you can't fish within 50 meters of the causeway.

The C/O's are very strict with the barbless hook rule, they WILL make you bring up every line you are using and take a look.
