The big boys are still being caught in deep water and just this weekend a few 12+ were caught in shallow.  It's a bit of a crap-shoot, but they are there!  I'm still waiting for a certain Ice Shanty regular to post a photo of his big pike from Sunday . . . you know who you are - now post the dang PIC!

Good Man!  I want to see it.  That's a GREAT fish!  Did it win the derby?

I forgot to tell you - we had a DAY on Saturday.  We were not targeting pike too much, but we got 23 smallies.  The most amazing smallmouth bite of the year.  Some real footballs too.   Now it's time to start focusing on the pike though.  My fingers haven't bleed in a lot in 2 weeks

I have some battle scars from holding that pig. I think Den was headed out to try and out do me today I had a bass day 3 weeks ago non stop smallie action, friggin drove me nuts.

We fished it a few years ago and had fun...Do they still get on the lake at the lower end? Is it best to use the boat launch area uo lake? Thanks. Al
