I am also a senior in high school and also submitted a fishing pic for my yearbook.  ;D Probably the only fishing pic that will be in there since there aren't really any fisherman at my school.

Cool pic Chen, when I got my senior pic taken I don't think they even had flash yet ;D. Enjoy tour early years while you can. I must add that it is fun to be young but it's nice to be married with kids also.

Wish I had thought of that for my High School yearbook. Congrats on graduating this year. What are your plans for after graduation?

After graduation, I'm going to be working for the Soil and Water Conservation District, for the summer, as an internship. Starting wage is about $12.00 an hour. I'll be doing this all summer, 4-5 days a week...but I'll find PLENTY of time to fish! ;D Then in September, I'm going to be starting at Paul Smiths College, in the Adirondacks, where I'll be working my way towards a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science.  ;D

Zach-
This isn't meant to be corny or anything, but I honestly wish there were more young men (and women) like you in our country.

There are plenty like Zach. It's the disrespectful and rebellious teenagers that everyone seems to notice more though. Good people do not draw as much attention to themselves as do bad people in our society, so it just seems like there are less of them. The good still outnumber the bad.

The good still outnumber the bad.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Fisheries biology is one of my ideas, but I am leaning more heavily towards an engineer of some type. Good luck Zach! Don't forget your friends at MFF and the shanty and send us updates on your fishing!

By the way, for those of you who think our generation (I am close to zach's age,  I am 16) is lost, think again. It is just the bad ones you notice and hear about, just like the few bad fisherman that give a lot of fisherman bad names. It's the same basic prinicple.

ill always have faith in the younger generation bear, especially on who fishes as faithfully as you guys do, good luck to all of you !!

im a firm beleiver that theres nothing wrong with the youth its there upbringing all these single moms that have to work and 2 parent houses that one parent works way too much just to put food on the table leaves no time for a parent to be a parent or even in other cases parent dont want to be parents wich is a real shame so all you kids that are going to be what you wanna be congrats and all of you that are doing what you thought youde be doing in life congrats to you and ill bet all of you have great parents that cared

hali-man, im sure when you were younger, the elders said stuff like that about your generation cause thats all they heard about were the bad. but we have two members on here who are gunna be fisheries biologists and i myself am 20y.o. and studying criminal justice for law enforcement(probably police officer) and there are countless others like me and pasquatch out there lurking on the site that we dont know about. i dont mean to sound like im making fun of you but its true.   goodluck everyone

I can honestly say that the good kids outnumber the bad seeds by a lot. Even on this site, I know of several upstanding young members of society...and I'm sure there are dozens more. Plus, remember that adage "Kids who fish and hunt don't mug old ladies."(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/Pasquatch/Smileys/smiley_abus.gif)

or the other adage "Hunt with your kids, so you dont have to hunt for your kids" or something to that effect...lol
