Sounds like an inovation that might have merit. Is it safe fire hazard wise? I would love to have something insulate that I do not have to wear. And hey, bubble wrap floats.

Sounds innovative enough! I keep getting this image in my head of sounding like popcorn at the movie theater when the shanty gets all heated up though. :D

I don't see how this would help? The whole idea of portables is that they are quick and easy to set-up and take down. By trying to add to it, you may be adding time on to set-up only to warm it up a few degrees. Grab a buddy heater it'll save you some time and aggravation

I use a 5000 btu heater. Don't ever recall getting cold with it in my one man tent. Paul

Ice fisherman, by definition are people who can't help but tinker with things to make them work better. Who knows what could come from any idea like that.  On the other hand, what are you nuts!  ;D

Hi Gang!
Had a friend that did that  bubble wrap thing.  He found out he couldnt help himself from popping every last one of those things when fishing got slow.  I would hear a pop sound then a giggle.  It sounds like a good idea hummm!  pop pop pop pop hehehehe!
I use a single burner lantern like Rico used last season it provides light and wenough heat to keep the chill off ya!   Thanks Rico!

That just reminded me, I forgot I bought that little lantern.  After Rico showed me the lantern that fits in a coffee can, I went and bought it the same night.  Have yet to use it though, just another thing I had to have at the moment but have yet to use.

Rico, you ever do any night fishing at the honey hole through the ice?

Yes men I have night fished it through the ice.  And yes the coyotes are everywhere!  But they havent attacked me yet!  I have had the same amount of success at night as I have had during the day.  I am game!!!!
