« on: Nov 11, 2005, 10:08 PM »
while I was in upstate New York I used to use perch eyes on a small jiging spoon... has anyone had success here in indiana doing that?
I use the 80/20 rule you need 80% of the tackle to catch 20% of the fish

Have heard about using them but have never used them myself. What kind of hooks do you use on the spoons for them?
treble or single

I used them a couple years back on Devils lake in North Dakata. We used a single hook on a swedish pimple. They stayed on better than a minnow. You could catch several fish on each one. Never tried them here at home. We don't have massive schools of perch up here in northern In. and I just figured the gills I catch would'nt be interested in them.

I used a single hook on a swedish pimple I know when I was there I caught about 25 perch in a little over a half an hour with them...I didn't know if you guys had tried it on summit I hear that they have a good population of perch out there? Could summit be the best perch lake in the state? or are there others...

I've used perch eyes on Lake Michigan and done well. Bigger perch on the eyes than on the other baits.
