Just curious to see if you guys out there eat any of the fish you catch besides trout, and if so what bodies of water do you prefer to keep from.

I like to eat bass. I use a slot limit between 12" to 18". I consider this a good way to keep the big one's reproducing. besides. I think the younger the fish the better the meat. Where I harvest from, is the cleanest water with no outboard motors allowed, low water foul count and most recently water with no Blue algae . I'm getting hungry !   :P

A friend of ours catches allot of perch and crappie. He fries them up for us at our annual fish fry. They come from a pond so secret that I don't even know where he catches them. Mmmmm Mmmmm Gooood.

I enjoy perch and crappie also, especially through the ice I find them less wormy and not as pondy tasting. I fillet them  put lemon juice, salt, pepper, and roll them in Louisiana fish fry. Delicious! Friend of mine who said he doesn't like freshwater fish couldn't believe that it was freshwater fish when I served him. As far as waters go as long as it's not to urban or any advisories.
