Box Butte fishing this fall/winter
« on: Oct 20, 2005, 05:34 PM »
I'm looking to setup a 3 day trip to fish for Northerns this coming winter.  Sure miss the slimers from my growing up in North Dakota.  Sounds like Box Butte was the place to be last winter. Looking to get some info on how things have been this year as far as water levels and fishing.  Also any recommendations on where to stay and eat in the area.....thinking about a end of January 1st of February trip .... :tipup:thanks

fished box butte last year for the first time. was there around the 11th of jan. and stayed for four days. ice was good. lots of pan fish and 8 keeper pike.
Take a kid fishing, they make great pack mules.
Put the big ones back for another day eat the small ones.
