Assuming that there is ice, when does the white perch run customarily start in Missisquoi Bay?

One thing about white perch in Vermont is you'll never hear a word until about 3 days in when about 40 people are sitting in one place. Or the bait shop will start giving word out because they want more fish.

Never caught them through the ice up there.  Couldn't keep them off the line one summer around the island by the Tyler Place.  I'm curious too if folks catch em there in the winter.

The white perch do stage up there pre-spawn, and go up river following the walleyes and devour the wally eggs.
After ice out, they'll be all the way up to the falls in Swanton.

We usually start seeing them in Feb up here in Highgate as they start migrating up rivers. They tend to favor the deeper side of the bay around High rocks and the mouth of the river. I have had epic days in Saint Albans bay in Feb as well.
