My sons and I will be going to the slough on sun. morning

It is confirmed, slough is open to fishing on saturday morning. Ppl need to be carefull. There were a few pockets of water from rain and birds keeping open. So take ur time getting out and spud along the way if u havent ventured over to scout the ice out.

Bite was poor for most, birds have open water in spots away from headquarters, found sketched ice in the phragmite up front.

Left at noon. Didn't see a fish. Head something messing with my tip ups but never could get the hook set.

I would too with the bite that has been going on there. We didn't make that mistake. Sounds as he got 24 more fish then he had.

Catching all them dinks may have something to do with the stellar spawns there the last 2 years..

Go to headquarters. Walkout to general area where everyone is fishing. Best to start there. Early and late.

Slough Slow, there were 8 of us out there caught 6all day between us. 6-7 inches of ice in front of Headquarters
