How do you rig your tip-ups for walleye?
« on: Dec 12, 2005, 12:21 PM »
I was just curious on how everyone rigs their tip-ups for walleye? I haven't used tip-ups that much and was planning on using them a lot more this winter.

Spooled up with dacron. 14 inch 6lb test monofilament leader. Number 6 Gamakatsu with a split shot 6-8 inches above the hook. Large Fat Head minnow reversed.
Never tell a fish where its supposed to be

Basically the same as Jigmup, but on one tip up I will put the ol' Swedish Pimple tiped with a flathead threw the back.  Even though your not jigging it, the extra flash on a lively minow will sometime outfish the plan hook.
