Which Silver Lake are you referring to?  I live a mile from the one in Kosiosko County....it was ice covered two days ago.....but have not been on it to check the ice......

Hi, my name's Rob, and I'm an ice-fisherman.  :D We have a wonderful 12 step program.... Take 12 steps then drill a hole. Repeat as necessary.

There's anpother silver just south of US 20 near I-69...heard it's good for pike.
It's on the pigeon river chain so i don't know how fast it freezes.

I am curious as well about this lake.  We did good catching gills on Silver Lake by Angola/I69 last year.  Any updated on the ice?

Thanks!

I drove by Silver twice today...first time by I saw some kids out about 4 feet from shore.
There are still pale looking cracks or moving water type lines going across...didn't look too good.
Loon lake looked pretty frozen over though.
Snow is wide open.

I was out on Silver today..a good 3-4 inches of ice...very windy...no nibbles...need to reconfigure my sinkers etc and get another layer on under my coat...heading back out there
