How do you fund your Icefishing ..Im a Steelworker ..10 yrs at USSTEEL..Im also a Journeyman Cement Mason..dropped my book when i went to the mill..i sure do miss getting laidoff in the winter. ::)

Journeyman Tool & Die Maker moonlighting as a supervisor. Being laid off all winter doesn't sound that bad (especially if we had ice)

Mostly I try to pose as a supervisor. But that is only when I'm not posting on Ice Shanty .com. Some day I'll probably get fired for it and be able to spend more time on the ice ;D. Is there anyone else out there that posts at work? Big brother is watching you :o.

I run a Walleye Guide Service on Brookville Reseivoir,in Indiana from April till October,and in the winter I Ice fish as much as possible, and own a small Construction Company,I'm very fortunate to be able to fish 250 days a year.

Swedish Pimple, I fish Brookville many times a year and have fished with a couple of guides on the lake. Can I ask which one you are...I may have fished with you before.

Ok people raise your hands if you are an ice fisherman and you know what the hell color mocca even is? More importantly, do they make a crappie jig in that shade?
I am retired from Inland Steel up north here so I have big time and little money for this hobby, but what the hell I could be out doin something foolish instead.

I am a teacher and love to ice fish, especially around Christmas--I get 2 weeks off for break. Other than that, I am mostly a weekend warrior until summer. OOOOHHHHH but the ice fishing beats the summer fishing!!!!

Am a terminal manager for a towing company, mgr for past 4 yrs and driver before that for 14 towing mostly semi's. I can't get out as often as i wish , being this is usually our busy time of year plus i work 6 days a week.

I just got laid off, but when I was working, I was a fiberglass repair man, I did body work on international trucks, inspecting and patch painting, oh well more time to icefish, oh yea!

I'm a cop, so even though I don't get the $$$$$$ I do get the inside track on a lot of good fishing info. I work for the county and since I am on day shift I get to check out all the lakes / ponds in the area (you know....while protecting and serving of course).

Periwinkle ??? I am a bricklayer with a powerful icefishing Jones. I think I had periwinkle once in the service, but penicillin cleared it right up.

Carp , start questioning my masculinity , but i can answer for all 3 colors.
Mauve , the wife bought a matched pr of lazy boys recliners quite a few years ago.
Magenta , it is the offsetting color and knick knack stuff she has on the basement family room walls , and the color of my sweater that i'm wearing here today.
Periwinkle , also the offsetting color and knick knack crap she has on the walls of our bedroom.
Any other color questions ?

You are cracking me up dude.... First, I wouldn't admit it if I did know those colors. Second, we do need some ice so you can spend more time fishing and less time interior decorating. And third, I am starting to think that it is your wife answering these questions under your username, (and even if it's not, I would say it is.) What about these colors... Sepia, Raw Umber, Sienna????? You could say anything and I would have no idea.... I know they are colors cuz I pulled them from a crayola web page.

I'm in the aquatics business. I spray lakes and ponds for nusiance weeds and algae, install and repair fountains and aeration systems and build spray boats. In the warm months I treat over 250 ponds. Of these I have permission to fish ONE! I moved form Muncie to south of Indy two years ago and last year I had about two weeks of safe ice down here. I'm hoping for a harsh winter, or a lot of road trips north this year. Going to take the boat out one more time tomorrow to chase muskies then put the casting rods away. Good luck this year boys. Kid and Jim I'll see you on Summit in a couple of weeks I hope.

I'm the General Manager of an Electroplating Company. I fund my ice fishing by giving my wife free rein at Hobby Lobby :D. If I let her run ammuck with her scrap booking she finds it hard to say anything about my100 plus mormyska collection.

Latte is a drink not a color ...unless you ment to say the color of latte. BTW it is not a drink you will find by knocking on the (flap) door of my shanty. We serve coffee in there.

Laid off chrysler employee(12years) from the indy foundry that got closed on Sept30. I also have a small lawn spraying business I've been running by myself for 10 years now. Guess who's gonna continue to fish almost everyday. ;D

Guess! Keep your shoes on! Try to fish as much as possible but this past year has been tough as we are building a house on a nice lake here in Valpo! About 6 more weeks of building and we should be about done. I struggled to give up my open water fishing time to work on the house but I will NOT give up my ICE time to work on the house!
