hey,alot of snow as someone already said,...on Cuba lake.Would be real careful of the ice being under all that snow.Wind today will blow snow around and may make things better.As always ....lets all be careful and not get out there till it's good and safe.

Any reports today Norwegian ? Jig-A-Boo Lou said you guys were going. I said not to wait for me .. just wondering what the report was or was the pucker factor too high ?

One more day before freezing temps ....the ice looks like it will make it just hope we dont get more then a couple inches of snow

There is some open water. The south shore from the dike area looks like this along most of the shore all the way down towards the outlet. Some areas the ice does touch shore but not very much.


The area down around the yacht club and along the north shore up 250 yds or so from where the creek enters the lake looks like this ..


The white you see out there is the line of what's left of the ice sheet. Thats the view all the way across to the point which leads into the bay that becomes the outlet. There is a lot of open water on the north shore ! Starting about the 8th house on the north shore, there's a swath of open water that runs at an angle to the center of the lake in line with about the 20th house on the south shore. There will certainly be significant variation in ice thickness once the waters recede and the ice sheet settles back into place and re-freezes. Tread lightly !

Just drove past the lake.  Open water in front of skating rink.  3 guys fishing by the dam on east end.  Windy as the devil and 8 degrees.

I went to check the ice and saw the "Amish Mafia" set up on my secret spot. As I get closer, I see my buddy Reezen32 trying to stuff these under his hut .. nothings sacred anymore !! Ice was a solid 5" ..
