Oscoda - Northeastern Michigan

Hey Fellas!

Swung by VanEtten this morning. Looks to be locked up and some good ice forming. Talked to some guys yesterday who were fishing on Cedar Lake. Looking forward to this season!

Hey bud, it’s been awhile. It’s been okay, I don’t believe spectacular but also not a bust. The “do not eat” advisory didn’t seem to stop folks. I  score the Bucks at work for the “Big Buck Contest” and we had two 180lb+ come in (field dressed). It seems to be 50/50 from folks being successful and not seeing anything.

I haven’t got out myself. Just been hitting the mouth of the river for Walleye when I am able. Some big fish pulled out over the past month.

Not a bad season for ya bud. We are definitely ready for some ice fishing here. Plan is to hit Cedar Lake for some Gills Sunday. Should have some good “safe” ice by then. Let’s get it started!
