Peach lake
« on: Feb 28, 2006, 12:23 PM »
I tried this lake out Sunday, first trip there. Nice little lake....16 inches of ice, so my new Jiffy got a workout. Anyone fish this one? It looks like it has potential.

that's the one...just off M55. I'm going to hit Van Etten tomorrow and then probably go back to Peach on Thurs for a bit. Hopefully I'll get to Houghton on saturday and bug Dach.

hope this helps.i fished it a couple times for perch.not worthy.small.seems all panfish are small due to heavy weed cover to hide.wally fishing is decent out by the sunken island area nw of the launch.try tips with shinners and swedish pimps tip with a shinner jigging .

I have'nt hit it yet this year,I'm only 12 miles from it.My buddies brother has been fishing it and has'nt done to well.Alot of small perch. The eyes have been sub legal.Nice little lake with a good amont of pressure during soft water months.I'd hit the saddle between the islands to start and as evening and night approaches,I'd move up the drop off in a little shallower water to catch the eyes moving to feed.A friend of mines son in law got an 11 3/4 lber out of Peach several years ago through the ice.
