The new wood stove
« on: Nov 13, 2011, 08:53 PM »
Well here it is.....

Still got to do some modifyin, a three inch flue is not enough to keep smoke from billowing out the door. Need to size up to a 4", also need more air intake, it wouldnt stay at a constant burn without the door cracked. Had her heated up to about 516 degrees though durning the test burn. Shes a beast and pretty heavy but should work ok.
summers over i finally get to do some fishin!

All 1/8th plate steel.... I got stack of it off the last job i was on. Old bolt telpates they were gonna throw away. I incorporated a sliding baffel inside it too. Slide forward to open the flue for starting the fire then slide it back when she gets cookin. Not sure if im happy with that yet. Hopefully the 4" flue fixes the smoke comin out the door problem. Also welded as much as i could  from the inside.... I am NOT by any means a welder but im sure you seen that!

Very nice  ! Looks almost like the one I bought on sportsman guide . I paid a little more than 70.00 but I don't have welder so it was a good deal for me . Heats like a champ drive you out of there . 8x8 shack
Gonna use it on my new 8x10 camper build .
My question is what size space are you heating with that beast ?
