I almost signed myself and 11 year old up for this tourney but ultimately I didn't because I didn't know who a tournament like this is directed towards. When I first saw that there was a perch tournament I automatically assumed that it must be for kids as I didn't realize adults were interest in catching dinky perch all day long, unless it's to keep the kids entertained. After I got to reading the details a bit the high price and low number of entries made me think this must be some kind serious event not intended for kids, more about the money than for fun. If the price were lower and the event advertised as being kid/family friendly I would have signed up. On the flip side, if this event were advertised as NOT kid family I would have not signed up because I would have had to find a fishing partner, when the stars line up and my buddy is able to get the same time off for fishing we want to travel but it's not going to be for dinky perch.
