Transition Day
« on: Mar 03, 2015, 05:52 PM »
Well cleaned up all the gear and put them in there proper spot for the rest of the year.  Bringing the boat in for its annual check up for opening day next week.  That's if we have a opening day this year.   ;)

I love late ice fishing. But we've made sure to keep our boat relatively clear of snow all winter. The striper in the Thames should be calling us shortly!
The BIG one is just one flag away!

Species caught : largemouth, smallmouth,  bluegill, perch, White perch, crappie, trout, catfish, bowfin, pickerel, pike

Those bass call all year.  If my boat wasn't buried id be after them.  Three years ago my first keeper was caught on 14 March on a eel, at night nearby.

Yeah but getting our 17ft aluminum tracker through the ice field can be hazardous at times. Especially with a winter like this one. I'll be there shortly

How do you think this wet sponge snow today will harden up for Thurs-Fri?   I see the temps are dropping fast tonight.

I'm sure it will be crispy and easy to walk on. We only got about an inch before it switched so it well definitely freeze up

Everything is going to freeze like a brick. There is so much water under the snow.
