Hey all. I’ll be headed to northern Iowa with my wife for some fishing first of the year. I would like to swing into Minnesota for a day and get her on a northern.(Bucket list)I think around the Faribault area is as far as I would want to drive in without a lot of window time. How is the ice in southern MN? Any suggestion would helpful and appreciated.

Should be pretty good ice by new years if forecast for owattona is correct. 10 day outlook has 2 days in the 20*s, 2 in the teens, rest single digit highs. Lows single digit above and below zero. Few snow showers next Thursday and Friday. Have to ask others about which lakes would be good to fish.
