Greetings,
A friend and I are planning to test the ice at Beaver Dam State Park (SW of Carlinville) this Thursday, January 18th. Hoping to see 4+" of ice in the boat ramp arm of the lake to fish safely. Has anyone tested the ice yet in some of the smaller farm ponds in the area? Looks like a very short season again, but we should be able to walk on water soon.
