this is only the 3rd week of winter, almost always get a thaw in January, last year didn't have any ice most of January. had good ice in the mid December, we took vacation the 1st week of February and wound up going to the Mississippi river for the week for cat's

I think we will be at as good of ice conditions as we had so far by 1-27-08. With 4-wheelers on the ice by 2-3-08

Saw the same thing as you. Highs just under freezing next week, highs in upper teens the following week.

Boy, I hope you guys are right. Was drilling though 18 inches of ice in B.C. Canada last week. Got back on Sunday to 65 degrees in Indy...not encouraging!

don't think you will see 18 inches around here any time soon.....but by next weekend should have 4-5 here in the norther part of the state

Yes We do need them good ol days back, buying Heet for your vehicle,kids wrapped in scarfs, guys putting cardboard on the grills of thier pickup trucks to keep the engine warmer,cars that need jumps in the morning. Dont see that too much.

I also live in Noble County...IN.
We will be back on some of the channels, and maybe some sheltered coves by next weekend!!!! Hopefully no snow to screw things up....
