OK.....Someone told me 5 or 6 years ago that there was tiny perch & never mentioned any trout.....Very well could be tho !!

So just read the regs it says catch and release is that just for the trout or everything

I've fished it off and on the last few years. They recently finished up a huge reclamation project, during which they expanded the pond significantly. Before the work started I could catch Cuts, Whitefish and the dinkiest Perch I've ever seen. Last year was the first I've fished it after the reclamation and I only caught trout. I fished it once through the ice last winter and once on my kayak this summer. I believe the regs are changing or have changed to read that it is catch and release for trout except for kids under 15. I plan to try it some more this winter.

Stopped in while muzzleloader hunting this weekend but did not fish. Couple of holes punched and about 2 inches of ice.

Fished a couple hours this morning before work. Marked 2 fish and caught one rainbow about 14 inches in 10 FOW. Ice was pretty consistent from 4-6 in all the places I drilled. Very slow but it's nice to have a place close to Butte!

I'll be... according to the FishMT data base, this pond was stocked seven different times in 2023 with a mix of rainbows, cutthroats, and browns, for a total of about seven and a half thousand trout stocked. I had no idea.
