Author Topic: Best day ice fishing I have ever had (Read 2104 times)

I have been on a lot of ice fishing excursions over the last 20+ years but today takes the cake. I took my not quite 3 year old out for his first day ice fishing. He ran like a champ on glare ice. We caught some large Pickeral and some nice bass. Spent hours chasing a golf ball around the lake. He had a great time and when we got back to the truck he asked if we could go tomorrow. After my wife saw how much he enjoyed it she said good, you can take him out every weekend if you want!

What a great day. Any kid who gets to go ice fishing with his dad is a lucky kid and will remember it for the rest of his life.

Started my son out the same way. Now he's 17 and always stealing all my gear out of the garage while I'm at work to go ice fishing 8f he gets out of school and doesn't have to work. Lmao

Sounds words of wisdom, my "little boy" turned 40 last month..time flies, enjoy them while they are young, they won't stay that way for long.

Thank you all for the kind words. I still fish with my father and can't wait for the first 3 generation trip! I am glad the nh ice fishing community is growing and hope to have us cross all of your paths some day in our adventures. Yes they grow up way too fast. But now I have an excuse to go more often!
