Lake Cascade, Idaho Gold. Ice Fishing is coming to an end pretty quickly. Ice is getting sketchy in some areas with Ice about 9" and in some areas, it's not safe. However, if you know where to go you will be greatly rewarded. Today may have been one of the best days of the season. I had some guests land over 60 perch, BIG Perch. Many in the 2.5 pound range. They kept a bunch to eat and released a bunch. 2 of these fish are going on the wall but my favorite was not the longest. 14.5" but weighed in at 2 pounds 6 ounces and some change...it was a hog!

WOW! Are those pufferfish, or perch?  Absolutely slobs.  I've never seen anything like that here on Erie.  Awesome fish

Don't ya just love the spring bite when the perch are on fire!  How's the 1st ice and mid Winter perch bite on Cascade?  Love to set up a trip for mid Winter.
