Hit the festival!

You could stay in Rutland at any of the highly reputable lodging establishments and be 15 minutes from Bomo. When you are done fishing there are lots of good places to eat in Rutland.

Did that place right on the south end of Bomo open back up?  I forget what it was called, but it closed down and had plans on opening back up.

There's always "Holiday Harbor" in North Hero.  He has cabins and shanties.

What do you want to fish for? VT blessed with a variety of good waters.
NEK offers good trout fishing, perch at Magog. Pinecrest in Barton is reasonable and close to
a dozen lakes. 802-525-3472

Holiday Harbor is turn key, lodging right on the water, shanties and a bait shop right there. Great people that own it too.

I stayed at Holiday Harbor every year for 15 years.  This year Bruce was booked up solid for the dates I wanted to go.  I went to VBRO and found a whole house right across the passage from HH for less money and direct lake front.  These VRBO houses are mostly summer rentals, so you can get a really solid deal on one in the winter.  Whack up the cost across a few guys and it's dirt cheap.  There are MANY rentals available, so just decide where you want to fish and get one close by.
My mission is goin' fishin'.
