My youtube channel is full of pigs out of Delta. A fish I caught 2 years ago won the Ice Shanty tournament out of Delta, so thats my argument as to what lake is the best.. 😁 In all seriousness, we are blessed with many great pike fisheries in CNY and surrounding areas that are widely overlooked .. lol and its fine by me !!

Biggest...Sacandaga.   Just look at food n fuels Facebook page.   I haven't  seen any other NYS lake produce 50" pike.  Could be wrong, but I haven't seen it.

GSL for consistently producing the biggest.  The best pike fishing? def not the GSL.  The GSL will suck eventually if people keep putting 40"ers on the wall.  The best is probably Manitoba somewhere.

Where are the southern pike, or eastern or western for that matter?

Cranberry has some real giants. Seneca lake has an abundance of 30" "hump-back" pike too.

PS: does anybody else catch hump-backs outta Seneca? Wonder what that's all about? nutrition???

Long Lake has a sneaky good northern population as well. Most fish I catch are between 20-30" however I have broke a couple 40s off at the boat over the past couple years as well. There are definitely some Gators hiding in there.

Silver had great numbers until recently. We still pull good numbers but not as many, too many people fishing it the last few seasons. Never got a 40 from silver lake though. Conesus is decent, I like St. Lawrence for numbers and size, also like gsl.

Kinda turns my stomach to see all those pike on the ice. Seeing as it is my closest go to lake. I land hundreds of pike a year, they are delicious but only a handful of those go in the freezer or fryer, usually if they are going to die anyway. Those 30 inch fish are the perfect breeders. To grow those big pike we're all after we have to practice some selective and responsible harvests. Silver is a really solid lake for numbers but if your chasing 40+ fish insure there in there but far and few between. St Lawrence has to be hands hands down the best biggest and most productive for size and numbers.

Silver was a good pike fishery but not any more. They have been fished out thanks to the Amish and citiots.  :'(
