Car on lake dunmore
« on: Feb 02, 2018, 03:34 PM »
Heard from a friend of mine someone’s vehicle broke through the ice this morning on lake dunmore. From what I understand they were somewhere in the sucker brook branbury area. Apparently they are ok but with such a great season of ice fishing everyone should be careful especially when driving on the ice!! That area is always unpredictable and better to be safe than sorry. Hope to not hear many more of these stories. Be safe and good luck to everyone!!!

I wish the state would fine more heavily for this.

I heard one went through on rouses point the same day as the one on lake dunmore. Had people stop in the access yesterday morning ask me how much ice was out there. I hadn’t been out nor had I fished there yet this season so I told them I don’t know yet. They proceed to drive a full size diesel towing a camper without even drilling a whole. Lucky for them there was a foot of ice but man some people are stupid!!!!
