How many lures do you loose a season?

I definitely lose more to my buddies raiding my tackle box than to bad knots....snags...or dropping them down the hole, combined. Lol! What are friends for!

I watched a hole box of jigs (opened of course) blow off my sled, skid across the ice and dump the contents down a hole. I did get lucky and the jig that was on the line in that hole caught 9 of them, must have hooked the line on the way down or just dumb luck that the little jig caught so many. I wish I had a magnet along that day.

Funny thing happened today while I was out fishing. I actually found a jig I lost on the ice last week. Boy, was I surprised. I was fishing one of my usual spots where I've been several times this season already. Lo and behold I look down at the ice and keyed in on an orange spot in the ice. Next thing I know it's the jig I thought I dropped down a hole that was attached to a broken line, or so I thought. If it weren't for the fact that the ice on the lake had recently been washed clear by recent rains, I would have never been able to see the jig. Always be observant while out fishing, you never know what you may find.

lost my first one the other day while rebaiting my jaw jacker. put my 1" jigging rap rod down between the seat rails. got back and limp line!

A sign I'm getting older. The other day a retied my tube jig, bit off the tag end & threw the jig into the hole. See a mark moving quickly on the flasher and realize it's my jig as I bit off the wrong end

usually not more than a couple. i've already lost one (inexpensive) jig to a reel malfunction in the middle of fighting a fish, but i check my line and knots often, and there aren't pike or anything in the waters i fish.

honestly, last year i broke more rods than lost jigs by a significant margin (7-1. yeesh!)

I made it 3 seasons and fishing hard every weekend and never lost a jig. But last season the pickerel got the best of me I lost 10 jigs in are short ice season here in NEPA

I don't lose many unless a pike breaks me off.i break more than I lose except for last year when I lost my whole jig box of fiskas somewhere,never did find them.if someone found them out on a lake it was basically like finding gold.100s of dollars were in that jig box.
