Lake Paren is located in North Bennington. Most fish it for Pike but bass, perch, crappie, bluegill, and trout roam the waters too. As far as the bite, I would say inconsistent. I took my boys(4 and 2yrs old) there Sunday at mid day for some perch action, set out 10 tip up's and zero flags in 3 hrs. Managed 4 on the jig rod though. Good luck.
