Just heard from the local newspaper the Times . They will be out covering this event.

Proceeds from this event help fund the Free Take a kid fishing derby in the spring         REMEMBER YOU CAN GOODS DONATIONS!!!

We got several more derby door prize donations today to give away. Come out this Saturday and join the fun. Anyone who is registered can win one of these Bass pro gift cards along with a bunch of other door prizes.

Plus the other prizes we have for the winning fish for both kid and adult category’s

Reg opens at 5am , head out fishing immediately afterward. Looks like a great weather forecast .

Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. If you have not fished this derby before this is the year to give it a try.

How did this go?

Had 157 participants. 17" eye 21 3/4" bass and a 10 1/4" true gill caught. Lot of crappie gills perch and bass. Everyone seemed to have a good time and the prizes and raffles were SWEET!!!!

Great turnout guys, glad mother nature finally cooperated this year.  Would have been there but was on the ice in northern Mi last weekend.

Great turn out.   Couldn't make it.  My 5 yo son wanted to go fishing so I took him over to long lake just next door lol.   He had a blast with this bass though so I can't complain with how happy he was to reel this Lil guy in.

It was a great time, very well run. Kids had a blast along with the adults.
Very easy going and professionally run.
Had a blast. Great door prizes and awards for fish.
