To get the true lenght of a fish there is a formula to follow... Take the lenght someone tells you add 12. And divide by 2.. For instance. Someone tells you they caught a 20" trout. 20+12=32.  32÷2=16. More then likely it was a 16" lol

I love it when the LA gang talks of eater gills. lol  I guess you can eat any size fish. I love boneless skinless sardines in olive oil. If only you could figure out to get them to all grow up to be 8.5" fish. KOV'IE all the fish you caught this year needed to grow up. lol Just kidding buddy,just kidding.

Depending on amount of food and competition in our western pa lakes crappies and perch take 8 years to be what I say is eater. 10 or better. Gills not to sure of them I think about the same but not $ on it

Anybody remember the guy that posted a picture of the yellow perch on the table cloth with the sewing tape measure under it?  Trouble was it was obvious he had cut the tape measure in two, hidden the cut part under the fish, and pulled it out to make the fish look bigger. I think he tried to pass it off as a 17 inch fish.

His mistake was we could see the length of the squares on the table cloth by the tape measure on it and it just didn't add up.
