Im thinking its time to go over to open water ...i got messed up once on the ice this yr i just dont like the weather were having. Up n down snow rain ...im gonna go chase steelies for the rest a winter i think...got my shanty hung back up in shed auger oiled up soooo its gonna have to get very cold before i go again..gonna sit at the vice with little guy and tie lots a flies n jigs

even tho this is getting foolish I seen 4 tigers caught that day last one while I was walking to leave! no monsters but tigers ...we all caught fish I got a limit and I know dan did ....the ice was good (I would suggest a spud now)....but I used mine that day ....even tho we joke about the fire I have never seen a mess on otisco and never had to pick up trash ....it's got to be one of the best places to take kids because they are going to catch fish....and even tho you have to pick you can always get a diner ...one of my favorite places to fish

One brave soul out yesterday morning by guardrail thirty yards out . Looked to be checking ice. Nobody in the afternoon. Don't let the recent cool down fool ya.

not as much pressure on otisco this year because everyone is going to sodus nby this week end north of the narrows will have all kinds of people again ..... I would becareful walking out near that culvert is all ...and take a spud

Park at the north end near the guardrail. You will see other cars there.

the narrows is dangerous spot all the time there is current there and it never freezes really good
